Welcome!
The Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) is the leading professional membership organization exclusively for visual arts educators in Ohio. Members include elementary, middle, and high school visual arts educators; college and university professors; researchers and scholars; teaching artists; administrators and supervisors; and art museum educators. OAEA’s mission is to build a community for visual art educators by promoting professional growth and leadership.
OAEA functions as a statewide service organization operated by an executive committee and leadership assembly, consisting of elected representatives from eight regions and seven divisions. These volunteers serve in a variety of capacities on the local, regional and state levels. Other members represent the Distinguished Fellows, Ohio Art Education Foundation, and Committee Chairs.

Have you heard of the American Rescue Plan?(ARP) or Elementary and Secondary School Relief fund?(ESSER)
No? Well you should look into it! Millions of dollars have been allocated to the state for your school district to use for educational enrichment, especially for the arts. To see what your school has been allocated so far, click here. These funds can be used for many items that pertain to your art curriculum: - Replace or recieve equipment and supplies. - After school programs. - Prevent staffing loss or add new staffing. - Attending professional development or conferences that were lost due to COVID. More information what funding can be used for can be found here, click here. These funds will need to be allocated and used by the school quickly! I would suggest having a conversation with your administration about how YOU can utilize some of the funding for the arts. Gather your arts teams and present your case for funding now!
