The Cincinnati Art Museum
​The Cincinnati Art Museum offers a variety of programs, workshops and presentations for educators to enhance their curriculum and connect students with the art of the Cincinnati Art Museum. We offer lesson plans from PreK-12th grade on our website as well as on site teacher professional development programs. The Toledo Museum of Art

TMA offers a wealth of materials and activities based on our collection and special exhibitions for preK-12 educators. Enrich your teaching practice through workshops that explore intersections between visual literacy and core curriculum. Throughout the year, Museum offers a variety of professional development opportunities for pre K-16 educators.

The Columbus Museum of Art

Cincinnati Art Museum Teacher Professional Development

Third Thursdays (September – May)
​
Evenings for Educators is the Cincinnati Art Museum’s monthly teacher professional development program. Through the lens of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions, Evenings for Educators supports all subjects taught in the classroom. We encourage a STREAM approach as well as Twenty-First Century Learning strategies in the museum and classroom. This program is offered for teachers of all grade levels and disciplines, art appreciation volunteers, pre-service education majors, teaching artists as well as community and museum educators.

This program happens the third Thursday of the month from 4-7 p.m. at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Participating teachers will receive CEU certificates in May. Graduate credit available for an additional fee through Ashland University. For more information, email [email protected]. 
 
Individual Sessions:
  • $5 for students
  • $10 for members
  • $20 for general admission

Dayton Art Institute - Free Resources


​Free monthly lesson plans and materials for all Kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms. These materials include lesson plans, arts integration activities, worksheets, and PowerPoint Presentations for teachers. . Lesson plans support A+CC tours and reach new audiences through math, science, social studies, ELA, and English Language Learner curriculums. Google Classroom is a great way to share links, PDFs and resources with many people for free. 

To access the Google Classroom, you'll login to google with a personal Gmail account (google workspace accounts/school accounts don't seem to work) on google chrome. 
  1. Click on the dots in the top right corner
  2. Scroll and click Classroom
  3. Click the plus sign in the top right corner
  4. Click Join class and type the code 2deiu62
Once you are on the stream page, you will click on "Classwork" at the top to see the materials that I have added so far. Everything is labeled with Elementary or Secondary based on the grade level and sorted into content areas!
