My name is Juls Rathje and I have been teaching art for 25 years and middle school for 15 years. I teach Visual Art and Art Foundations to 7th and 8th graders in Westerville, a suburb of Columbus. My personal artistic passion is acrylic painting, printmaking and glass. I love teaching the unique and special beings that make up our middle school students. A middle school art day involves a lot of laughter, unexpected situations and discovering creative solutions. As your MIddle School Division Chair, I look forward to journeying with you, helping navigate the middle school art world and supporting you through OAEA.
The Middle School Division, of the OAEA, represents OAEA members that teach Art at the Middle School level, or are affiliated with Middle School Art Education, through retirement, student teachers, and community members. The Middle School Division also represents Middle School Art Students across the state of Ohio. I look forward to opportunities to connect with other educators throughout Ohio and share experiences, techniques and future meetups! I look forward to serving as the Middle Division Chair. Please reach out to me to connect, to share ideas and suggestions. You can contact me at [email protected] |
