Earning College Credit
OAEA partners with the University of Dayton to provide members with the college credit needed for state license renewal.
UD offers one graduate credit for $205.

Registration Directions Fall Conference 2024
1.) Complete Pre-Registration by December 15 and Registration by January 3. See Directions for additional information.
2.) Attend a pre-conference virtual meeting to review expectations, answer questions, etc. A makeup virtual meeting will available. Please email [email protected] if neither work in your schedule. (Links will be provided in the syllabus).
Standard Professional Development Units (PDU’s)
While most educators need PDU’s (formerly known as CEU’s) to renew or upgrade their license, not all educators need college credit. To assist educators with advanced degrees, OAEA has developed a Standard Professional Development Unit form to make it easier for conference attendees, workshop presenters, and OAEA state and local leaders to receive credit for time spent in professional development. OAEA professional development units can be submitted to local professional development committees for application toward licensure renewal.
If you do not need professional development units to apply toward your PK-12 licensure, consider adding the Standard PDU form to your professional portfolio to document the professional work you have done to assist you in finding employment, or receiving promotion and tenure.

- Fill in your name and OAEA Region or OAEA Division.
- Select one box indicating the PDU credit for which you are requesting verification (this can be completed at the OAEA Conference).
- List the activity by name
- Sign and Date the form
- Email the completed form to the professional development chairs or simply stop by the Professional Development table at Conference for instant verification.
