I am deeply passionate about arts education advocacy and the transformative power of art education in changing the world. I believe that art has the ability to foster empathy, ignite creativity, and empower individuals to see and shape the world in new and meaningful ways. By championing the role of the arts in education, I strive to inspire students and educators alike to embrace the arts as a vital tool for personal growth, cultural understanding, and global change. Through my work, I aim to create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and expression that uplift communities and help build a brighter, more connected future. I look forward to the opportunity to collaboratively develop and resources to empower you to promote the value of art education, engaging stakeholders, and influencing policy, through the following measures:
Advocacy and Policy Leadership Promoting Art Education: Champion the importance of art education at local, state, and national levels. Policy Influence: Work with lawmakers and education officials to shape policies that support arts in schools. Legislative Monitoring: Stay informed about legislation affecting art education and communicate implications to the association. Community and Stakeholder Engagement Building Partnerships: Foster relationships with schools, community organizations, and businesses to support art education initiatives. Parent and Educator Outreach: Develop resources for parents and educators to advocate for art education in their communities. Collaboration: Work with OAEA members to align advocacy efforts with the association's mission and goals. Communication and Resource Development Campaigns: Organize advocacy campaigns to increase awareness of the benefits of art education. Educational Materials: Create toolkits, brochures, and online content for members to use in advocacy efforts. Member Empowerment and Training Advocacy Resources: Develop materials, such as toolkits and guides, to help members advocate for art education in their communities. Professional Development: Organize workshops, webinars, and training sessions to equip members with effective advocacy strategies. |
