John and Ross Robarthave established this on-going award to honor their father, Randy Robart (1957-2021). Randy was an amazing OAEA Fellow, leader, artist/educator, and arts advocate. He also knew how to work on a shoestring budget and empathized with others (especially new teachers) who experienced the same challenge. Submit the form below by June 30, 2024. The award will be announced at the 2024 OAEA Conference. The winning applicant is encouraged to attend to be recognized.
APPLICANTS: OAEA member art educators. Preference will be given to those teaching three years or less. Previous award winners are not eligible.
APPLICATION PROCESS: Fill out and submit the electronic application form which includes a one-page letter describing your teaching experience and your plans for this award. Funds can be used for general art supplies or for that special project you’ve always wanted to do but didn’t have the funds to accomplish. Funds may also be used for small equipment purchases or a portion of a larger expense.
AWARD: $500 - Check to be mailed to your school within 30 days of receipt of award
FINAL REPORT: Write a brief report which includes a summary of how funds were used, original receipts and photo documentation (if possible). This report is due by JUNE 1, 2025.
