My name is Ella-Jane Kuhnell and I am a member of the Southwest division and student at Mount St. Joseph University. I hope to bring connection to pre-service students within OAEA and foster a sense of community for our members, as well as grow memberships at the yearly OAEA Conference. This division is designed to be a forum for networking, volunteering, and teaching opportunities. Through local events, professional development conferences and social media platforms, Pre-Service educators can connect to share philosophies, techniques, and experiences outside of the classroom. The Pre-Service Division can help you learn from high quality art educators, expand your art education training beyond university, and prepare you to transition into the professional world. Through local events, professional development conferences, and social media platforms this division allows pre-service teachers to connect and share philosophies, techniques and experiences outside of the traditional classroom. The OAEA Student Division can help you to learn from high quality art educators, stretch your art education training beyond the university and prepare you to teach in a wide variety of student populations. Beef up your resume and take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities to learn and develop professionally. So get out there! Volunteer at a prominent art museum, local arts organization, summer art camp, and/or an after-school program! Goals for the Pre-Service Division:
