PILGRIM HEIDI KAMBITSCH

Pilgrim Heidi Kambitsch is an artist who creates Open Heart Creatures: expressive body puppets, installations & paintings as tools for positive change. She is a mother of 3 boys living together in a little yellow house next to a park in Columbus, Ohio. After working with at-risk youth and using puppets to spark important conversations, Pilgrim became known as the “Puppet Lady.” Her art formed a mission: creating handmade interactive tools to support and spark heartfelt feelings. She brings this mission to life through her specialized body puppets and paintings for play therapists, school counselors, teachers, parents, children and the community.

Alex Dowis, born in Prague in 1979, has been devoted to art since childhood. He began his career with large wall paintings, influenced by graffiti and street art, becoming a prominent figure in the Czech graffiti scene. Since 2003, Alex has been actively involved with Prague’s Archa Theatre, presenting original performances across Europe, the USA, and Asia. In 2012, Alex introduced Light Art, a rapid form of light painting on photoluminescent surfaces, reaching the finals of the Czech-Slovak talent show. Alex’s Light Art technique, often accompanied by live music, creates emotional, wordless stories. Alex’s multimedia show reached the semifinals of “America’s Got Talent” in 2019. His live art exhibitions, including Sand Art and Speed Paintings are showcased worldwide.
