West Region Blog

Hi everyone!  
I am counting down the days till the end of the year. I am sure some of you are also.  It has been a very long school year.  It has been a very long school year and I am looking forward to being able to relax this summer.  

First we are currently accepting artwork for our summer show.  We will have the show in July at the K12 gallery in Dayton, and we are looking for 8 pieces of art from each of you. Here is the form for you to print and attach to the artwork.  You can drop off art in Tipp City to Patty Brown or in Dayton to Toni Adams.  If you need to schedule a drop off please contact Patty @ [email protected] and Toni @ [email protected]. The last day to submit work is May 27th.  We would love to see all of your students work in the show so we can spotlight and show off all of the talent in the West region! 

If you would like to attend our West regional awards luncheon please contact Joan Lucas @ [email protected].  Please RSVP by June 1st so that we know how much food we will need.  Our awards luncheon will be at the Arcade downtown Dayton.  Tuesday June 7th

It will be a great time and if you have not seen the Arcade it will be a great experience since they redid the building.  

We are teaming up with the Dayton Art Institute July 23rd for a clay or printmaking workshop.  We have spaces available still and would love to see as many of you as possible. The cost is $7 and we will be getting a tour of the museum along with the workshop.  I know July is hard because of travel and summer plans but if you can attend please let me know.  We need to have a total count to the DAI by July 2nd so you have some time to decide.  

We will have a few other workshop choices throughout the summer so please check your email.

Lastly, do not forget that conference is in Dayton this fall so I look forward to see you there!
